Authentic Brewing Company Announces Free Halloween Movie Nights: ‘Brews and Boos‘
Athens, GA - September 29, 2025 – As pumpkin spice takes over and the leaves begin to turn, there’s no better way to embrace the spirit of fall and Halloween than wiht a classic scary movie. And while some older horror flicks might seem a little less frightening by today’s standards, the shared experience of a good spook is best enjoyed with a crowd.
Luckily, Authentic Brewing Company is providing the perfect atmosphere for just that. Throughout October, the brewery at 108 Park Ave. will host free “brews and Boos” double feature screenings every Wednesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Each week will feature a different theme, promising a diverse lineup of frights for every horror fan.
Here’s the schedule for “Brews and Boos”:
* October 1: Sci-Fi Night - Prepare for unrelenting suspense with ”Predator” (1987, Rated R) and “Alien” (1979, Rated R). These films represent a thrilling evolution in post-“Star Wars” special effects, delivering both graphic action and psychological chills.
* October 8: Vampire Night – Sink your teeth into a double dose of 80s vampire thrills with ”The lost Boys” (1987, Rated R) and “Fright Night” (1985, Rated R). Both films center on teenagers battling supernatural forces, a hallmark of the decade’s horror scene.
* October 15: Slashers – Witness the birth of two iconic franchises with a night dedicated to slasher classics: “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (1984,Rated R) and “Scream” (1996,Rated R),both masterfully directed by Wes craven.
* October 22: Ghosts – Get ready for spectral scares with ”Poltergeist” (1982, Rated PG) and “Ghostbusters” (1984, Rated PG). These films pushed the boundaries of what was considered acceptable for a PG rating,delivering genuinely frightening moments.
* October 29: Monsters – No Halloween season is complete without the classics. Authentic Brewing Company will close out the series with “The Wolf Man” (1941,Not Rated) and “Dracula” (1931,Not Rated) – timeless black-and-white masterpieces from Universal studios.
