“The Gym of Emotions“: A Harmonious Blend of Music & Sport – Bologna Event Preview

Bologna, Italy – October 14th, 9 PM, Sala ⁢Bossi (Conservatory ‍”GB Martini”) – Prepare⁣ for an evening of insightful dialog and vibrant performance as Music Together presents “The Gym⁣ of Emotions – Dialogues Between Music and Sport.” This free event explores the surprisingly parallel worlds of athletic​ competition and musical performance, focusing on the crucial role of emotional intelligence, especially for young people.

Hosted by Rai music‍ journalist ⁣ Valentina Lo forto, the evening will feature a dynamic ⁢panel including‌ psychologist & psychotherapist Matteo Lancini, offering expertise on adolescent emotional management.⁢ Joining him are sporting legends: Ferdinando “Fefè” De Giorgi (men’s national volleyball coach,recent World Champions),Julio Velasco (women’s national volleyball coach),former basketball star Renato Villalta,and rising stars Eleonora Sarti ⁢ (Paralympic archery champion) and Lidia Carew ‍ (dancer,actress,performer).Rounding out the guest​ list is acclaimed pianist ⁢ Alessandro Artese, a graduate of the Bologna Conservatory and international competition winner.

“The Gym ⁣of Emotions” isn’t just​ talk; it’s ​a party⁤ of the‍ connection between mind and⁤ body. Expect musical and choreographic interventions throughout the evening, culminating in the presentation of ⁣the “fairplay” award against bullying to the ​talented Street​ Dance‌ crew T-BOUNCE,⁢ recognized by Dance Plus and supported by the Carisbo Foundation.

This event​ serves as a joyful reflection on ‌the first year ‍of the “The ⁢Gym of Emotions” didactic path, a free course launching in 2025 at the Conservatory of Music Vecchi​ Tonelli di ​Modena and Carpi, funded by the Ministry of University and Research’s Pro-Ben call. The course will be available to students ‍across all Italian conservatories, performers,‌ and students of all levels, promoting psychological well-being.
