Guiricema Offers Extended vaccination Hours This Wednesday
Guiricema, MG – Residents of Guiricema will have extended access to vital vaccinations this Wednesday, November 10th, as the City Hall, through it’s Health Department, hosts a special vaccination drive from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Guiricema Health Center – Taboa. The extended hours aim to improve access for working families and individuals with daytime commitments, ensuring broader community protection against preventable diseases.
This initiative provides a crucial opportunity for residents of all ages to update their vaccination records and recieve protection against a range of illnesses. Doses will be available for influenza (flu), COVID-19, HPV, dengue, and ACWY meningitis, alongside routine vaccinations including yellow fever, diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis B, measles, mumps, and rubella. The campaign is particularly important given ongoing public health concerns and the need to maintain high immunization rates to prevent outbreaks.
Individuals seeking vaccination are required to present their vaccine card and either a SUS (Unified Health System) card or CPF (Brazilian individual taxpayer registry) identification.
The campaign targets individuals from 6 months to over 60 years of age, with specific focus on key demographics. Pregnant women, young children, and the elderly are prioritized for influenza vaccination, while COVID-19 doses will be available for children aged 6 months to 4 years, adolescents, and priority groups. HPV immunization will be offered to individuals between 9 and 19 years old.
