Gregoria Mariska Tunjung must admit the superiority of South Korean badminton player, An Se Young in the round of 16 India Open 2023 at KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Thursday (19/1) evening WIB.
Gregoria surrendered to An Se Young in two games with a score of 16-21, 18-21. This result prevented Gregoria from advancing to the quarter-finals.
The Gregoria vs An Se Young clash was tough from the start of the first game. Gregoria was leading 2-1 but the points earned by the two partners continued to draw from 4-4 to 7-7.

After that, An Se Young began to widen the gap in points. He was able to close the first game interval with a four-point lead at 11-7.
Gregoria tries hard to be able to catch up with the opponent’s points. Good ball placement allowed Gregoria to reduce the score to 14-15.
But the good momentum did not continue. The mistakes that Gregoria often makes keep An Se Young away with a 19-15 advantage.

An Se Young can catch up to the points deficit. Good ball placement from An Se Young allowed him to level the score at 15-15.
After that the game went tough. When the score was 18-18, Gregoria was unable to get the ball across the net so An Se Young won 19-18. An Se Young was able to snatch the next two points to win 21-18.
