Berlin, Germany – November 25th marks the fifth anniversary of the Green Actors Lounge Summit, a pivotal event dedicated to fostering sustainability within the film and media industries. The summit, hosted at AchtBerlin, will feature a dynamic program of panels, workshops, and networking opportunities.
Founded in 2021 by Kerstin Schilly of la Maison Victor • Schilly & Friends and la Maison Film, the Green Actors lounge emerged from a commitment to move beyond simply acknowledging the need for change in the film sector. The association actively champions a holistic vision of sustainability, encompassing not only environmentally conscious production practices but also crucial elements like diversity, inclusion, fair labor standards, social equity, mental wellbeing, and long-term structural integrity. This year’s milestone event underscores a growing industry-wide recognition that enduring practices are no longer optional, but essential for the future of filmmaking.
The summit’s program has been carefully curated by Sabine Posselt, a film producer, green consultant, and founder of Filmconnecke GmbH. Posselt approached the task “wiht a sharpened view across industry boundaries and the goal of creating real change, not just demanding it,” according to organizers. Attendees will have the chance to engage in focused discussions and collaborative sessions designed to translate awareness into actionable strategies.
