In a gruesome incident, a 40-year-old man stands accused of brutally murdering his 87-year-old mother. The alleged crime occurred in Sebora village near Polokwane, South Africa, sending shockwaves through the local community. Authorities discovered the victim’s dismembered remains.

Details of the Investigation

Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba reported that body parts were found in three plastic containers. They also discovered a hacksaw and knives, which they believe were used in the heinous act. The suspect, who is the deceased’s son, was immediately arrested after failing to provide a sufficient explanation for the terrible crime.

“The suspect who is the son of the deceased was arrested immediately after he could not give satisfactory explanation of the gruesome act. The motive behind this senseless murder is currently being investigated by the police. The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned the heinous incident. She pointed out that the suspect was expected to provide protection to her mother instead of prematurely cutting her life short.”
