Brno Circuit Experiences High Turnout, Police Manage Traffic and Incidents
Brno, Czech republic – The Brno Circuit saw a significant influx of fans on Friday, exceeding initial expectations.authorities reported that 2,000 cars and 900 motorcycles where parked at the venue. Despite the large numbers, a police spokesman stated that the situation was “quite able to manage” with short queues forming in exposed areas. For Saturday’s events, including qualifications, championship visitors are directed to park on the old highway and the road from Exit Kývalek towards Rosice, according to police advisories shared on the X network. Free bus services will be provided to transport attendees to and from the circuit.
The Masaryk Circuit hosted training sessions on Friday, with an even greater attendance anticipated for the weekend’s qualifications and Sunday’s races. The departure of fans on Sunday evening after the races concludes is traditionally a period of high traffic volume.
Along with traffic management,law enforcement addressed an altercation between fans and a public transport driver,and also an incident involving a 37-year-old motorcyclist operating a vehicle without registration plates. The rider was found to have a valid driving ban and tested positive for alcohol and drugs.On the first day of the event,emergency services attended to 15 visitors,primarily for minor injuries or collapses. South Moravian rescuers noted that the weather conditions, including a significant storm, contributed to the challenges. This event marked the first time rescuers have been deployed to a public gathering of this nature.
