France prepares Hospitals for Potential War, Minister Cites “Strategic Preparation”
Paris, France – france is preparing its hospitals for potential war scenarios, according too a report initially published by Jornal and subsequently addressed by French officials. The preparation includes anticipating crisis situations and bolstering strategic reserves, mirroring actions taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.
French Minister of Health Catherine Vautrin confirmed the preparations, characterizing them as “strategic preparation,” encompassing strategic stockpiles and anticipating epidemics. “This is part of the anticipation… This is part of the duty of central administrations,” Vautrin stated, clarifying she did not use the word ‘war’ when discussing the matter.
The government is reportedly planning to release a booklet later this year, titled “all resilient,” dedicated to crisis situations, with a section focused on war, though details remain undisclosed. The news comes amid heightened tensions between France and Russia. French President Emmanuel Macron has faced frequent criticism from Moscow for his support of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In August, Macron referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin as an “ogre to our doors,” prompting a response from the Russian government, which deemed the statement “improper” and “low level insults” from a head of state, according to Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
CNN attempted to verify the initial report but was unable to access the original document. BFM TV, CNN’s French affiliate, questioned Vautrin on the matter, receiving the confirmation of ongoing preparations.
