France Defeat Bok Women in Pool Play Clash

Northampton, EnglandFrance overpowered South Africa 57-10 in their final Rugby World Cup pool match on Saturday, securing a dominant victory in front of 13,268 spectators. The result means South Africa will advance to a playoff clash with New Zealand’s Black Ferns in Exeter.

The match began as a physical contest, with both sides struggling to maintain possession.France drew first blood with a try from fullback Emilie Boulard. South Africa responded with a penalty goal by byrhandré Dolf, bringing the score to 5-3, but would add no further points for a important period. France then demonstrated clinical finishing, exemplified by a try from Gabrielle Vernier following a scrum inside the 22.

A pivotal moment arrived when South Africa’s Chumisa Qawe received a 20-minute red card – upgraded from an initial sin-bin – following a bunker review for a high tackle. France swiftly capitalized on their numerical advantage, adding two tries before halftime and another through Boulard early in the second half.

Despite a spirited effort and the introduction of South Africa’s replacements, France continued to extend their lead. Scrumhalf Pauline Bordon Sansus’ quick thinking lead to a try by Anaelle Deshaye in the 61st minute. Later tries from Joanna Grisez (two), and Alexandra Chambon further solidified France’s dominance.

South Africa refused to concede defeat,and Nadine Roos showcased individual brilliance,scoring a try under the posts after the final buzzer. Byrhandré Dolf successfully converted, bringing the final score to 57-10.
