Haskovo Region Schools Officially Open Doors for New Academic Year
The 75 schools across the Haskovo region commenced the new academic year today with ceremonial openings attended by local dignitaries, education officials, and members of the community.Celebrations included the unveiling of a new multifunctional playground and inaugural matches by the Basketball and Handball School’s representative teams.
The formal beginning of the school year marks a renewed commitment to education for students throughout the Haskovo region.Mayor Stanislav Dechev, Regional Governor Dr. Stefka Zdravkova, and Darina stancheva, a Senior Expert in Vocational Education and Training at the RWO Haskovo, joined parents, former teachers, and students in marking the occasion. The event underscores the importance of perseverance, discipline, and motivation in achieving academic success, as emphasized by school director Margarita topalova.
Topalova addressed students, teachers, and parents, stating, “Success was achieved with perseverance, patience and discipline, combined with motivation and will.” She further encouraged students to embrace knowledge as freedom, work as dignity, and the power of dreams coupled with action. The opening signifies a fresh start and a dedication to fostering a supportive learning surroundings for all students in the region.
