Foreign Nationals Leaving Kleinmond Rule Out South African Return
A group of foreign nationals, who have been sheltered in a community hall in Kleinmond since last Friday, are now departing the area to return to their countries of origin. These individuals have stated that they do not intend to return to South Africa following their repatriation.
The movement involves approximately 140 people who had been displaced and subsequently housed in the local facility. Authorities have initiated the process to facilitate their return home, marking the conclusion of their stay in the coastal town.
As the repatriation process moves forward, those involved have expressed a clear stance regarding their future in the country. The departure of the group follows a period of displacement that necessitated the use of the community hall as temporary emergency accommodation. With the logistical arrangements for their travel finalized, the individuals are now transitioning toward their respective home nations.
