SK Fire Reports UEFA Incident Following Manchester United Training Session
BERGEN, Norway – SK Fire, the bergen-based fire department, confirmed a UEFA delegate was present during an incident involving a training exercise conducted by Manchester United at brann stadion ahead of their Champions League qualification match. the incident, described as a ”trick” by SK FireS Leif Gunnar Smerud, involved Manchester United players utilizing fire hoses during a training session, prompting a report to UEFA.
Smerud stated the team “got a good session” and prioritized familiarizing themselves with the stadium. While acknowledging the unusual practise triggered a UEFA report, he downplayed the potential for critically important repercussions, noting the delegate present was aware of the regulations. “It ends up in a UEFA report somewhere,” Smerud said. “There was an adult UEFA delegate here that knew the rules, but I don’t think it has such big consequences.”
The incident occurred during preparations for Manchester United’s Champions League qualifying match against FC Copenhagen. SK Fire was present at the stadium for a scheduled training exercise unrelated to the football club when the Manchester United players engaged with the fire equipment. The event has sparked discussion regarding protocol and appropriate conduct during international competitions, tho UEFA has yet to issue a formal statement regarding potential sanctions.
