Toronto Man Fatally Shot in Mall Parking Lot; Suspects Sought

One Arrested, Two at Large in Yorkdale Shooting

Authorities have apprehended one individual and are actively searching for two others in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last month at a prominent Toronto shopping center.

Deadly Encounter at Yorkdale

On July 17, law enforcement responded to reports of a firearm at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre, situated near Highway 401 and Dufferin Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds.

The victim was later identified as 28-year-old Toronto resident Kashif Jamal Bentley-Jean. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The individuals involved in the shooting had already fled the area before police arrived.

Montreal Man Charged

In an update released Wednesday, police confirmed the arrest of Bradley Lucate Nicolas, a 20-year-old from Montreal. He was taken into custody in Quebec on August 4 and has been charged with first-degree murder.

Police have also identified two other suspects wanted for first-degree murder: Bryan Emmanuel Fuentes Gramajo, 23, of Longueuil, Quebec, and Jimmy Prudent, 28, of Montreal. Images of these wanted individuals have been disseminated by the Toronto Police Service.

Public Warned: Suspects Armed and Dangerous

Authorities issued a stern warning to the public, stating, “The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach, and call 9-1-1 immediately.”
