The McLaren Formula 1 team concluded a productive pre-season test at the Bahrain International Circuit, with both Lando Norris and rookie Oscar Piastri demonstrating strong pace and reliability. The three-day test, held from February 23rd to 25th, 2024, provided valuable data for the Woking-based outfit ahead of the season-opening bahrain Grand Prix on March 2nd.

Norris, entering his sixth season with McLaren, consistently featured among the fastest drivers, completing 83 laps on the final day and setting a best time of 1:31.654. Piastri, in his debut season with the team after transferring from Alpine, also impressed, completing 78 laps on the last day with a best lap of 1:32.239. The Australian driver’s adaptation to the MCL38 chassis appeared seamless, indicating a promising partnership with Norris.
