Compared to the previous series, the Portable SSD T5, the SSD T7 Touch delivers almost twice the transfer rates and works 9.5 times faster than external HDD hard drives. It is the fastest external SSD currently available based on the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. It weighs only 58 grams and will be available in black and silver from mid-January and with capacities of 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB. The highlight: In addition to password protection and AES 256-bit hardware encryption, access is only possible by authorized finger scan if desired.
Fast, compact and with protection at the push of a button
The portable SSD T7 Touch moves in the interface between professional and private use. Fast read speeds of 1,050 MB / s and write speeds of 1,000 MB / s are achieved via the NVMe protocol, which facilitate the handling of even large file formats. Photos, games, music and videos in 4K or 8K quality can be quickly transferred from one device to another and conveniently transported. When used as external storage, the Portable SSD T7 Touch also expands the capacities of PCs, tablets, smartphones or game consoles.
The fingerprint scanner is framed by the so-called Motion LED. This shows the user the current device status at a glance. If the SSD is switched on, the square glows solid blue, if data is being transferred, the color field rotates. During the identification of the fingerprint, the display flashes alternately in color.
The Portable SSD T7 Touch, which has already won the CES Innovation Award 2020, will be launched in mid-January. It comes with a USB-C-C cable and a USB-C-A cable. It is compatible with Windows, Mac and Android operating systems and offers a limited three-year guarantee. The prices are 139.99 euros for the 500 GB variant; 259.99 euros for the 1 TB version and 499.99 euros for 2 TB.
