Erdogan Urges UN Action on Gaza, Calls for Fairer World

Erdoğan Declares Support for UN Reform, Voices concern Over Rising Islamophobia & Palestinian Depiction

NEW YORK – President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the United Nations General Assembly today, emphasizing turkeys commitment to sustainable development goals and advocating for a reformed global financial architecture.He also voiced strong support for UN Secretary-General António Guterres‘s “Our Common Agenda” initiative, aimed at strengthening the organization’s effectiveness.

Erdoğan positioned Turkey as a leading provider of development aid globally and stressed the importance of ensuring no one is “left behind” in the pursuit of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. He called for a global financing system aligned with this principle, advocating for its use “in favor of humanity.” He further stated, “We are waiting for the struggle against these currents, the struggle of the Secretary general of the Humanity of Racism and especially the hostility of Islam.”

The President highlighted the increasing threats to the family institution, stating, “Defending the family of men and women, also means defending people, nature, life and future.” He affirmed Turkey’s continued defense of the family “in the face of increasing attacks.”

erdoğan also underscored the foundational values of the United Nations, established to prevent future global conflicts, and expressed full support for Guterres’s initiative to enhance the organization’s efficiency. He stated,”It is not a more fair world,not to leave the system,not to say that the world is stronger.”
