Eminem Picks Wu-Tang Clan for Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Show

Eminem Picks Wu-Tang Clan for Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Show

November 2, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Wu-Tang Clan will headline the Detroit Lions halftime show on Thanksgiving, bringing the legendary hip-hop group to the NFL stage in an unexpected booking handpicked by Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg.

The selection is part of a multi-year deal where Em and Rosenberg produce the Lions’ halftime show on Thanksgiving that is slated to continue through 2027. Eminem and Rosenberg previously executive-produced the 2025 Thanksgiving halftime show featuring Jack White, a performance that also included a surprise appearance by Slim Shady himself.

Wu-Tang Clan to Headline Lions Thanksgiving Halftime: Eminem’s Role Explained

“We often like to do things that are both exciting and unexpected. A Wu-Tang Clan Thanksgiving performance in Detroit certainly fits that description!” Paul Rosenberg shared in a statement captured by Consequence. “Both Eminem and myself have been Wu fans since the early 90s along with a whole generation of Detroit football fans, and we are honored to bring them to this year’s stage.”

Detroit Lions President and CEO Rod Wood noted the ongoing collaboration brings significant attention to the franchise’s holiday games. “We’re thrilled to be working with Marshall and Paul, who are two of the most accomplished and respected names in the music industry, not to mention longtime Lions fans,” Wood said in a statement. “Their reputation in the business will attract top-tier talent and help us solidify this annual performance as one of the most anticipated cultural moments on the NFL calendar.”

The Thanksgiving booking arrives shortly after Wu-Tang Clan wrapped up The Final Chamber Tour on October 4. That 26-date run featured support from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and was promoted as the final time the group would tackle an entire tour. The group recently honored their late member Ol’ Dirty Bastard at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, where his son Barsun Unique Jones, performing as Young Dirty Bastard, took the stage to perform the ODB single “Got Your Money” featuring Kelis.
