Colombian singer-songwriter Elsa y Elmar released a new Spotify Session on February 11, 2026, presenting five reinterpretations of her catalog, according to reports from Marie Claire Colombia and EstiloPlay.
The project, recorded at Spotify House in Bogotá, features musical direction by Junior Zamora and visual direction by MC Calle. It represents a deliberate return to the artist’s Colombian roots, incorporating sounds of salsa and champeta into her established “pop espiritual” style, as described by Elsa y Elmar herself.
“These Spotify Sessions are a celebration of life, my journey, music, teamwork, and my culture,” Elsa y Elmar stated, as reported by EstiloPlay. “Working with Junior Zamora and MC Calle was a natural and enriching process. Collaborating with musicians from all over Colombia made me sense proud and comforted. It was an encounter with my roots and with the joy and magic of creating.”
Zamora, a prominent figure in contemporary Colombian music, guided the musical arrangements, while MC Calle oversaw the visual elements, creating an audiovisual experience focused on emotion, identity, and spirituality. The Spotify Session EP, consisting of five songs, is now available on Spotify, according to the platform’s official listing.
The release solidifies Elsa y Elmar’s position as a leading voice in Colombian alternative pop and aims to further her international reach while maintaining a strong connection to her home country and fanbase. A YouTube session featuring the project was also released, as noted by a YouTube listing.
