The candidate shared this personal transformation during an appearance on “Antioquia Vota por Colombia,” a program broadcast by Teleantioquia and El Colombiano newspaper, according to a post on Instagram by teleantioquianoticias.

De la Espriella, who previously identified as an atheist, stated that his experience with the virus led to a shift in his beliefs. The program, part of the “Consejo de Redacción” series, provided a platform for the candidate to discuss his views ahead of the 2026 elections.
