Elizabeth Olsen, known for her roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and independent cinema, is set to lead the romantic comedy “Eternity.” Produced by A24, the film is set in the afterlife and features miles Teller and Callum Turner as the deceased husbands of Olsen’s character. “Eternity” is slated for a November theatrical release.

The official synopsis reveals that in a post-life realm where souls have one week to decide their eternal destination, Joan (Olsen) faces a profound choice. She must choose between the man with whom she shared her life, portrayed by Miles Teller, and her first love, Callum Turner, who has waited decades to be reunited with her.

David Freyne,who previously directed “Dating Amber” in 2020,helms “Eternity.” Both Olsen and Teller are also serving as executive producers on the project. The film is scheduled to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2025.

Olsen described “Eternity” as evoking classic Hollywood style in a previous interview with bustle. “It’s a Billy Wilder-style movie,” she stated. “It is classic and timeless. It is a warm, moving and fun work that will make the public feel good. It is a special film about how we look back in life, both in its end and in its entirety, not only at a specific moment. It is a reflection on the gift that is being alive and who we choose to share that time.”

Olsen’s recent work includes starring in “The Assessment” and her ongoing involvement in Todd Solondz’s new film,”Love child,” which experienced financing setbacks in 2024. A24 will bring “Eternity” to cinemas this November.
