Roding: Police Halt Two E-Scooter Drivers for Alleged Cannabis Impairment
Roding – On Monday,September 29th,2025,the Police inspection Roding stopped two individuals operating electric scooters (e-scooters) under the suspected influence of Cannabis.The incidents occurred over a 13-hour span within the town limits.
These stops highlight growing concerns regarding drug-impaired driving involving personal mobility devices like e-scooters, which are subject to the same traffic laws as motor vehicles. Police are actively enforcing regulations to ensure public safety as e-scooter usage rises.
The first incident took place around 8:20 a.m. on Bahnhofstrasse. A 16-year-old e-scooter driver admitted to recent cannabis consumption during a routine traffic check.
The police prevented further travel,ordered a blood sampling,and secured both the e-scooter and a smoking device. The legal guardian was later authorized to collect the items.
Later, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers in the Angermühl area encountered a 20-year-old e-scooter driver exhibiting typical drug abnormalities.
After the man declined a voluntary urine test,a blood sampling was mandated. In both cases, the police initiated proceedings for driving under the influence of drugs, as outlined by the Road Traffic Act.
