Drukair resumes Bangkok-Bhutan Flights via Gaya, India - A Pilgrimage Route Reopens
Singapore – September 3, 2025 – Drukair, the royal Bhutan Airlines, will reinstate its seasonal flights connecting Bangkok with Paro, Bhutan, via Gaya, India, starting December 1st, 2025, and running through the end of March 2026. This route is specifically geared towards facilitating Buddhist pilgrimage tours, offering a unique and spiritually significant travel experience.
the twice-weekly service will utilize an A319 aircraft with a capacity of 111 seats.Travelers originating in Bangkok will benefit from a land tour encompassing Gaya and Bodh Gaya – a pivotal location in Buddhist history where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment - before continuing onward to Bhutan.
