Drake Spotted enjoying Incognito Walk in Brussels Following Belgium concert
Brussels, Belgium – August 9, 2024 – Rapper Drake was observed taking an unchaperoned stroll through the streets of Brussels late Friday night, August 8th, following his performance at the Sportpaleis arena. The artist documented the experience on his Instagram Stories, expressing surprise at not being recognized by passersby.
“It’s mad chill tonight. I’m in flipping brussels,” Drake stated in the video, which has since circulated widely online. “I’m literally out here… just walking down the roads. nobody even knows I’m here.” He then filmed the relatively quiet street, noting, “Brussels, this [is] that nice spot right here.So blessed. I love taking a walk.” Drake also extended a shout-out too his Belgian fans, acknowledging their support at the concert.
The concert at sportpaleis, which holds a capacity of approximately 16,800,was part of Drake’s “$ome $pecial $hows 4 EU Summer Tour,” co-headlined with PARTYNEXTDOOR. The tour commenced in July 2024 and includes multiple dates across Europe.
Drake’s desire for moments of normalcy while on tour echoes sentiments previously expressed by other artists. In June 2024, Chris Brown shared that he similarly seeks out solo excursions in foreign cities to maintain a sense of grounding and escape the constant public attention. Brown specifically cited the difficulty of moving freely during daylight hours as a key motivator.
Drake is currently promoting upcoming solo material, including the recently released singles “What Did I Miss?” and “Which one” featuring Central Cee. The forthcoming album, titled Iceman, is anticipated to be released later in 2024. Despite “what Did I Miss?” nearly reaching the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, it was ultimately surpassed by Alex Warren’s “Ordinary.” Drake responded to this with a confident assertion on social media, stating his intention to secure the no. 1 position with a future release.
Drake’s recent Instagram post was also highlighted by DJ Akademiks, prompting comments from fans who resonated with the artist’s desire for a brief respite from fame. The Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium, is a prominent venue known for hosting major international music acts.
