Difficult but not impossible: they will try to catch the space rocket with helicopter!

Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin are working hard to reuse launched rockets. While both companies are working on this issue, a company called Rocket Lab has the same purpose as them. But they are about to reach a new milestone.

According to the news of New Atlas; Rocket Lab is gearing up to capture the first stage of the Electron rocket in mid-air with a customized Sikorsky S-92 helicopter.

The Electron rocket will take off this month to put 34 small satellites into orbit. The first stage of the rocket will return to Earth after taking the satellites away. As a result of the opening of two different parachutes, this section will reduce its speed to 36 km/h.

A modified Sikorsky S-92 helicopter will also capture the first stage of the rocket, whose speed is so slow, in mid-air and then land it for analysis.

Rocket Lab founder and CEO Peter Beck said that trying to catch a rocket as it falls to Earth is not an easy task, but it is in their DNA to push the limits with such complex operations.
