IVO Deurne Welcomes New Rector, Renee Boelaars
Renee Boelaars has been appointed as the new rector of Scholengemeenschap IVO Deurne, effective March 1.
A New Chapter for IVO Deurne
scholengemeenschap IVO Deurne has a new leader at the helm. Renee Boelaars assumed the role of rector on March 1, overseeing the four secondary schools within the community. Boelaars expressed enthusiasm for his new position,stating,It is indeed a fantastic school with very many warm and passionate employees with heart for our students. And that inspires.
Prior to joining IVO Deurne, Boelaars served as Director of Policy and Organizational Development at the Scheepvaart en Transport College (STC) in Rotterdam.
Boelaars, while not originally from Brabant, plans to relocate to the area.As you can hear from my accent I do not come from Brabant, but I am going to move there. So I will become a real Brabander,
he said with a smile.
Boelaars’ Background and Vision
Boelaars’ career began as an English teacher at the Rotterdam vocational school of the Scheepvaart en Transport College. He then held positions as an education developer, course Coordinator International Business & Management Studies, and Manager Knowledge Center at an agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He has also pursued further education in innovation and leadership, including programs like Digital Strategy and Change and Global HR Leadership at nyenrode Business University.
As rector of the Deurne school community, which serves approximately 3,000 students, Boelaars aims to further strengthen the collaboration between the four schools. I believe in working together. In fine teams, within and between the schools and with the region. I would like to build on what is already there and prepare IVO Deurne, with all those involved, for the future,
