Kilby Block Party returns to Salt Lake City’s Utah State Fairpark from May 14 to 16, 2027, featuring headliners Deftones, The Strokes, and Fontaines D.C. The eighth annual three-day independent music festival brings roughly 70 artists to the region, according to spinmagazine.com.

The festival bill features a diverse mix of returning favorites and prominent indie acts. Alongside Deftones, The Strokes, and Fontaines D.C., the 2027 lineup includes Jungle, Slayyyter, Lil Yachty, and IDLES. Spoon, Weyes Blood, Phantogram, Hot Chip, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Kim Gordon, Julien Baker, Wednesday, Atlas Sound, Wolf Parade, Mercury Rev, Iceage, Westside Cowboy, and Frankie & the Witch Fingers are also scheduled to perform.
Two Door Cinema Club will perform their 2010 album Tourist History in full. The festival poster also teases several unidentified acts with a series of question marks.
Organized by S&S Presents, the event has grown steadily since its 2019 debut as a one-day block party celebrating the 20th anniversary of Salt Lake City’s all-ages venue Kilby Court. This year’s festival drew more than 30,000 attendees per day, spinmagazine.com reported.
Kilby Block Party Ticket Sales Begin October 28
A ticket presale for the 2027 festival begins Wednesday, October 28, at noon Mountain Time, with advance registration available through the festival’s presale form. General ticket sales follow Thursday, October 29, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Additional information is available at kilbyblockparty.com.
For Deftones, the Salt Lake City engagement marks the group’s first announced show of 2027. The band will finish out its 2026 schedule on November 7 at its annual Dia de los Deftones festival at San Diego’s Petco Park, sharing the bill with the Neighbourhood, AFI, and Converge.
Festival Brings Millions to Utah Economy
Beyond the main stage schedule, the weekend features nightly aftershows at intimate venues across Salt Lake City, a Vendor Village for records and local goods, the annual Crusher Cup skateboarding competition, and a silent disco.

The festival serves as a major economic driver for Utah. Organizers state that the 2026 edition brought nearly 16,000 out-of-state visitors to the region. That attendance generated an estimated $33.5 million contribution to the state’s gross domestic product, produced $3.3 million in state and local tax revenue, and supported 419 jobs.
Lorde called Kilby Block Party “the absolute coolest festival ever” earlier this year, while Salt Lake City Weekly described the event as a “can’t-miss experience,” according to spinmagazine.com.
