Daniel Balint, the son of the underworld Sile Cămătaru, was brought from Italy on Monday evening, in handcuffs, to the Henri Coandă Airport, escorted by the police.
Balint was arrested in Italy and brought to the country to serve a sentence of 3 years and 7 months for several crimes committed in traffic, namely hitting a pedestrian crossing and leaving the scene of the accident, but also for not complying with the measures established by an order protective.
“On March 20 this year, following the international police cooperation between the Romanian Police and the Italian authorities, a 26-year-old man was taken from Italy, who was wanted internationally, based on a European arrest warrant issued by the judicial authorities from Romania.
The exchange of data with the Italian authorities was carried out by the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Capital Police, through the Romanian attaché in Italy and through the International Police Cooperation Center – SIRENE Bureau”reports IGPR.
The man was taken by the representatives of the National Administration of Penitentiaries, to be deposited in a penitentiary, in order to serve his sentence.
On his behalf, the 6th District Court issued, on June 6, 2022, a warrant for the execution of the prison sentence, by which he was sentenced to 3 years and 7 months in prison, for traffic offenses and non-compliance with the measures established by temporary protection order.
On January 16, 2023, following the exchange of data and information with the Italian authorities, he was detected.
Along with him, Ninacs Robert was also repatriated and sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in prison for sexual intercourse with a minor, beatings and other violence. It was also taken over by the ANP.
