Real Madrid Midfielder dani Ceballos Sidelined with Hamstring Injury
MADRID – Real madrid will be without midfielder Dani Ceballos for Sunday’s La Liga match against Getafe after the 28-year-old sustained a hamstring injury during a training session with the club’s Castilla team on or shortly after October 8.
Ceballos did not join his international teammates during the recent break adn instead participated in a behind-closed-doors practice match between real Madrid’s senior squad and its reserve team. The injury occurred during or following that session.
As of Friday, Ceballos was working individually in the gym at Valdebebas, continuing his rehabilitation. His availability for Tuesday’s friendly against Juventus at the Santiago Bernabéu is also uncertain.
While Ceballos has not been a consistent starter this season, his absence impacts Real Madrid’s midfield depth and his ability to control tempo.
Club officials remain cautiously optimistic that Ceballos could be fit for the October 26 El Clásico against Barcelona, but his progress will be closely monitored, and the coaching staff will prioritize a safe return to action.
