Dacia Striker Launches in Romania with Prices Starting at 21,900 Euros

October 13, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Dacia has officially entered the competitive C-segment market with the launch of the Striker, a new crossover model priced starting at 21,900 euros in Romania. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, the vehicle will be produced at the Renault plant in Bursa, Turkey, and aims to bridge the gap between traditional SUVs, station wagons, and sedans to capture a broader consumer base. Dacia describes the name as being inspired by the 1980s, suggesting force, precision and impact, and it is the fifth Dacia model to end in -ER, following the Duster, Dokker, Jogger, and Bigster.

Dacia Striker Prices Range from 21,900 to 30,750 Euros

The Dacia Striker hits the European market with a tiered pricing strategy designed to accommodate various budget levels. The entry-level Striker Mild Hybrid G 140 starts at 21,900 euros, including VAT. Prices scale up to 27,000 euros for the Hybrid 155, while the all-wheel-drive Hybrid 150 4×4 starts at 28,800 euros. At the top of the range, the Striker Hybrid 150 4×4 in the Extreme trim reaches 30,750 euros.

The model is being marketed internationally with a starting price point below 25,000 euros, specifically citing 23,490 euros for the French market. Mihai Bordeanu, șeful Dacia România, confirmed to Profit.ro that the company expects the Striker to occupy a strategic sales volume position between the Duster and the Bigster. He noted that the company is aiming to attract customers from the station wagon and SUV segments, as the Striker brings together elements from three universes: from the SUV, because it has a high ground clearance, 20 cm. It has the versatility and practical elements of a break and it also has the dynamism of a sedan.

Dacia Striker Offers Hybrid Crossover Design with 600 Liter Cargo

Dacia classifies the Striker as a hybrid crossover with a length of 4.62 meters, positioning it as longer than both the Bigster (4.57 m) and the Duster (4.34 m). The vehicle features a ground clearance of 20 centimeters, an attribute intended to provide the utility associated with SUVs. Economedia reported that the interior space is comparable to the Bigster, with a cargo capacity of approximately 600 liters. Frank Marotte noted that the seating position is lower than a traditional SUV, with improvements in comfort, acoustics, and interior quality. The model is available in seven colors, including two new shades named Frost Green and Cosmic Blue.

The vehicle is available in four trim levels: Essential, Expression, Extreme, and Journey. Standard equipment on the Essential trim includes 17-inch steel wheels, roof bars, a 10.1-inch Media Display, a 7-inch LightVisio digital dashboard, manual air conditioning, and rear parking sensors with a camera. Higher trims introduce more premium features, such as 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, electric parking brake with Autohold, panoramic glass roofs, hands-free entry, and heated steering wheels. The Journey trim adds features like an electric hands-free tailgate, power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a wireless smartphone charger.

Dacia Targets C-Segment Sales with Striker Deliveries by 2026

The introduction of the Striker changes Dacia's strategy, as the brand seeks to generate one-third of its total sales from the C-segment within the next four years. Mihai Bordeanu told Profit.ro that the company is opening orders for the Striker immediately, with deliveries expected by the end of 2026. This launch is being paired with the rollout of the new Dacia Spring, which is slated for early 2027. At the Paris event, the brand also noted that the new Spring will be produced in Europe. Meanwhile, other manufacturers are also expanding their portfolios, with Kia presenting its modular PBV range, including the PV5 and PV7 models.

The 91st edition of the Paris Motor Show, running from October 12 to 18, 2026, serves as the primary stage for these announcements. Held at the Expo Porte de Versailles, the event remains the largest auto show in Europe, alternating biennially since 1976 with the German show.
