San Marino Faces Uphill Battle Against Czech Republic in International Amiable
Karviná, Czech Republic – San Marino’s national football team arrives in Karviná today to face a significant challenge in an international friendly against the Czech Republic, kicking off at 18:00 on November 13, 2025.The match, to be broadcast live on Sport.cz,pits the team ranked 210th - and last – in the FIFA rankings against a far more formidable opponent.
San Marino, a nation comparable in size and population to the Czech city of Karvina, is seeking its frist victory in nearly a year. Their last success came in a 3-1 win against Liechtenstein in the Nations League. Since then,the team has suffered nine consecutive defeats,including a recent 10-0 loss to Austria in early October. Despite the daunting odds,San Marino aims to remain competitive.
Coach Robert Cevoli anticipates a difficult match and is prioritizing a measured approach. “I don’t intend to make any major changes to the lineup, but the players know that I will need everyone if needed,” Cevoli stated in a pre-match press conference.
