(ANSA) – SAN PAOLO, MARCH 4 – Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro returns to criticize the lockdown as a measure to contain the Covid-19 epidemic.
“Don’t shut yourself up at home, don’t be cowards. We have to face our problems. Stop whining, stop complaining, how long do you want to cry?” Said Bolsonaro speaking at a public meeting in Goias, one day after Brazil recorded the Covid-19 death toll.
“We obviously respect the elderly, the sick, those who have comorbidities, but what would happen to Brazil if we closed everything?”
In the images published by the local media, Bolsonaro can be seen speaking in public without a mask. (HANDLE)
