Coperion unveils Next-Generation Plastics Processing Technology at K 2025

Düsseldorf, Germany ⁤ – Coperion is showcasing a suite of advancements in double screw extrusion technology aimed at boosting efficiency and‍ sustainability in plastics compounding and ‌recycling at the K 2025 ⁤trade fair in Düsseldorf. The company’s exhibits, located at ⁤Stand 9B34 in Hall 14, highlight ‍solutions designed to reduce energy⁢ consumption, improve material⁣ quality, and optimize operational uptime.

Among the featured equipment is the ⁣ZSK 58 MC18,a high-capacity extruder capable of processing up to⁤ 2,500⁢ kilograms of material per hour while maintaining low energy usage. Complementing this is ⁤the STS 35 MC11, tailored for masterbatch‍ production ‌and achieving throughputs of up to 300 kilograms per hour.

A key innovation on⁢ display in the recycling pavilion is the ZSK Filco, a patent-pending ‌filtration ⁢compounder. This technology streamlines the recycling process by integrating filtration‍ and compounding into a⁣ single ‍step, significantly ‌reducing energy requirements – effectively melting ⁣plastic waste only once – while delivering high-quality recycled materials.

Coperion is also leveraging digital⁣ technology to ⁢enhance performance and reliability.Updates to the‌ C-Beyond platform include a⁢ lifecycle manager that proactively identifies and reports ⁤upcoming maintenance needs, maximizing system availability. A real-time vibration and oil status monitoring system for gearboxes⁤ is also ⁤being‌ introduced to prevent unexpected downtime.

Recognizing the growing importance of circularity, Coperion is demonstrating solutions⁤ for processing challenging materials‍ like PET and ⁣EPS.The company’s CSK extruders are designed to deliver both high throughput and product quality suitable for food contact applications, furthering the potential for closed-loop recycling systems.
