Convicted Murderer Escapes Quebec Prison

Second Inmate to Flee Archambault Institution Recently

A convicted murderer, 69-year-old Lori Bill Germa, escaped from a minimum-security unit in Quebec’s Laurentians area, according to Correctional Service Canada. Staff discovered his absence during a Saturday inmate count.

Details of the Escapee

Germa was serving a first-degree murder sentence at Archambault Institution when he escaped. He is described as 5’10″ tall, weighing 166 pounds, bald, with light skin and brown eyes.

Identifying marks include a tattoo of a sword with the name “Carol” on one arm, plus two seahorses and two dragons tattooed on his other arm. Anyone with information should contact local police.

Prior Escape

This is the second escape from Archambault in recent weeks. Fellow inmate Richard Plourde escaped June 22, but Quebec provincial police apprehended him the following day. According to the Quebec Public Security Ministry, most escaped inmates are caught within 24 hours (Quebec Public Security Ministry).
