Columbus Shooting: Teen and Unborn Child Die in Fatal Incident

Teenager and Unborn Child Die Following Columbus Shooting

COLUMBUS, Ga. – A devastating shooting incident in Columbus has resulted in the tragic deaths of a 17-year-old girl and her unborn child. Columbus police responded to the shooting on July 27th in the early morning hours on Juniper Avenue, in the 2600 block.

The incident,which initially injured two individuals,has been linked to another active scene on Japonica Drive. While one victim received treatment for their injuries and was subsequently released from the hospital, the other victim, identified as 17-year-old Keianna McFadden, succumbed to her injuries.

McFadden was transported to Grady Memorial hospital in Atlanta in critical condition. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at 4:08 p.m. on august 1. The coroner’s office has also confirmed that her unborn child did not survive. authorities are treating McFadden’s death as a murder and feticide case. Her body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the shooting occurred during a gathering at the residence on Juniper Avenue.The Columbus Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
