Columbus Crew midfielder Aziel Jackson has been transferred to Polish club Jagiellonia,the team announced Thursday.
Jackson, 21, appeared in 27 games for the Crew in 2024, scoring four goals and adding two assists. He was a key contributor during the Crew’s MLS Cup championship run in 2023, playing in 30 regular-season matches and making five appearances in the playoffs.
The terms of jackson’s deal to Jagiellonia, who finished third in Poland’s Ekstraklasa last season, have not been disclosed. Jagiellonia is set to begin their 2025-26 campaign on July 18.
Jackson’s departure comes as the Crew prepare for their upcoming match against the Seattle Sounders. Coach Wilfried Nancy offered limited details regarding the midfielder’s absence from recent activities,stating,”You’re going to see later.”
