Tragic Incident Under Investigation

The City of Ekurhuleni is reeling after the death of a high-ranking official, Mpho Mafole, following a shooting in Kempton Park on June 30th. The incident is under investigation, leaving the community in shock.

Mafole, the group divisional head of corporate and group forensic audits at the City of Ekurhuleni, was killed in the shooting. Authorities have not yet released details on the motive. Law enforcement is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

The shooting took place at approximately 7:00 PM on the R23 near the M57 (Pretoria Road) in Esselen Park, Kempton Park.
