Former Dal Shabet Member Choi Yeon-cheong Announces Tokyo Fan Meetings Following Remarkable Postpartum Conversion
TOKYO – Choi Yeon-cheong, also known as gyuri of the newly formed girl group RiRi, will hold four fan meetings in Tokyo at the end of November, following a highly publicized journey back to performing shape after childbirth. The announcement comes as a short-form video detailing her transformation gains traction online.
Choi Yeon-cheong,a Korean actress and singer active in both Korea and China,gained significant attention after signing with Erdong Fan Xing,China’s largest agency. She previously debuted as a member of Dal Shabet and has maintained a consistent presence in the entertainment industry.
The recently released video, titled “The live-action favorite child who debuted after losing 26kg after 5 months of childbirth,” details her weight loss from 72kg to 46kg following her pregnancy, announced a year after her 2023 marriage.
“Before I had children, I was talking about music with Se-ri. But my reflection in the mirror was in a state where I couldn’t go out in front of the public,” Choi Yeon-cheong recalled.She credits encouragement from others, including her sister, for motivating her to pursue her goals. “I thought it was too late, but many people encouraged me to try anything, saying that only the kids model is late now… I did the best I could.”
