Chloe Clem Now: Viral ‘Side-Eye Chloe’ Meme Star Returns at 13

The internet’s iconic expression of skepticism, captured in the meme known as “Chloe looking side-eye,” has resurfaced with its subject, Chloe Clem, now 15 years traditional. Clem announced her return to social media in a YouTube video released in late January 2026, stating her intention to post content more frequently. “Hi guys, guess who I am? It’s Chloe. I’m back,” she said in the video.

Born November 30, 2010, in Utah, Clem became an internet sensation at the age of two when a video of her reaction to a surprise Disneyland trip went viral in 2013. While her older sister, Lily, cried with excitement, Chloe’s distinctly unimpressed gaze quickly transformed into a widely circulated meme. The original video garnered over 25 million views on YouTube and spread rapidly across platforms like Tumblr, accumulating hundreds of thousands of interactions.

The meme’s popularity led to numerous invitations and travel opportunities for the Clem family, and they continued to encounter fans in the years following the viral moment. Clem’s mother, Katie Clem, told People magazine that the attention brought opportunities but also raised concerns about her daughters’ exposure.

In the recent YouTube video, Chloe Clem discussed adjusting to life after unexpected fame. She revealed that she has moved from Arizona to Tennessee and is focused on rebuilding her routines and friendships. Currently a high school freshman, she enjoys basketball, following the Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry, and watching anime series such as Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, and Naruto.

The viral image also had a financial impact on the family. In 2021, the original meme image was sold as a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) for $74,000, a sum Katie Clem stated helped cover expenses for several years. Still, Chloe Clem clarified in the video that she did not become a millionaire as a result of the meme’s popularity. “People assume that I’m a millionaire, but unfortunately that’s not true,” she said.

Clem also expressed an interest in pursuing a career as an actress. Thirteen years after the “Chloe looking side-eye” meme captured a universal expression of doubt, Clem is attempting to reconnect with the public on her own terms.
