Chiclana: New Tourism Course Offers 110 Hours of Training This Summer

Chiclana Launches tourist Animation Course

Training program aims to fill local tourism sector’s staffing needs.

Chiclana is set to boost its tourism sector with a new animation course designed for adults over 18. Teh course offers a blend of theoretical and practical training, preparing participants for roles in the bustling tourism industry.

Course Details and Schedule

The training is divided into two phases.The theoretical component, totaling 60 hours, will run from June 25 to July 10. Following this, a 50-hour practical phase will take place from July 14 to 25, offering hands-on experience with collaborating companies. Those interested can apply between June 9-11 and June 16-20 at the Center for Youth Initiatives Box.

Addressing Staffing Shortages

Fede Díaz,the Municipal Delegate of Youth,along with Ángel Vidal from triculo Eventos,introduced the initiative. Díaz emphasized that the course is a direct response to the tourism sector’s demand for qualified personnel. He noted, “thes actions arise from continuous dialog and joint work with the business sector. Thus, these courses arrive to help cover the demand and needs of the sector, qualifying people who are interested.”

Selection Process

With only 20 places available, a lottery will be held before a notary if applications exceed this number. Vidal expressed gratitude to the City Council and Triculo Eventos for their collaboration in delivering the training. He highlighted the course’s emphasis on practical classes, designed to equip students with the tools to excel in animation.
