[인터풋볼] Reporter Park Ji-won = Giovanni Lo Celso is on loan to Villarreal. It turned out that there were no purchase options that were initially known.

European transfer market expert Fabricio Romano shared with “Here We Go” announcing the transfer confirmation on the 13th (Korean time), “Lo Celso is going to Villarreal. A full deal with Tottenham Hotspur has been reached. Lo Celso joins on loan and does not include a purchase option.”

“Tottenham may suspend the loan if Lo Celso receives an offer from another club in the January transfer window. Of course, it depends on the player.”

Lo Celso was nominated for release this summer along with Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon. Coach Antonio Conte made it clear that he had no intention of joining the club from last season, and Lo Celso was loaned out to Villarreal during the season.

Lo Celso built a successful settlement at Villarreal based on his experience at Real Betis. He recorded all appearances in Spanish La Liga, UEFA Champions League (UCL). He and his team set the record of advancing to the quarterfinals of the UCL.

Eventually, this summer, I left again for Villarreal. Initial reports indicated it was a rental transfer with a purchase option. Italian ‘Di Marzio’ and Tottenham’s exclusive British reporters explained that a full transfer clause was included.

But it wasn’t true. Transfer market experts Matteo Moreto and Romano have said no purchase options were included. In addition, Alessie Gold of ‘Football London’ in England said, “There was a bit of confusion. It was not a purchase option, but a clause that could end the loan if Tottenham received a bid for Lo Celso in January and the player agrees to the transfer.”

In other words, if the club that wants to sign Lo Celso puts an offer in the winter transfer window and both Tottenham and Lo Celso agree, they can cancel the loan with Villarreal and transfer. It was a simple loan agreement with Villarreal.

Tottenham should now hope that Lo Celso will be invited to the World Cup this season based on his performances at Villarreal and receive love calls from many clubs. It’s a pity that I couldn’t dispose of it right away, but it’s also an opportunity to record more transfer fee income.
