Global Citizen’s mission centers on ending extreme poverty, and the festival serves as a platform to raise awareness and funds for critical initiatives. Her performance comes on the heels of the release of her latest album, Am I the Drama?, and ahead of her first headlining arena tour, launching in February 2024.
Organizers announced Cardi B’s inclusion in the festival lineup just days after The Weeknd canceled his set due to “personal reasons.” Rosé was also a newly added performer. During her set, Cardi B commanded the stage, twerking and grooving while performing “ErrTime.” For “bodak Yellow,” she engaged the crowd with a performance from a side-stage catwalk, encouraging singalongs.
