Four Arrested in Connection to Caracas Homicide
Caracas, Venezuela – Authorities have arrested four individuals in connection with the September 29th murder of Michael Alexander Garnier Montero, 28, in the San Andrés sector of the El Valle parish, Libertador municipality.The Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) Homicide Research Division announced the arrests following an inquiry led by Commissioner Dougla Rico.
Those apprehended have been identified as Daniel David Denmark Rodríguez, 32; Aiker Alexander García Villaroel, 20; Wileanyer Daveliux Fernández Zarraga, 20; and Brailyn Alfredo Pacheco González, 25.
According to the CICPC, the homicide occurred during a gathering where Garnier and the suspects, along with two other individuals and their partners, were consuming alcoholic beverages and psychotropic substances. The incident reportedly stemmed from a disrespectful comment made by the victim towards one of the women present.
Investigators state the group then subjected Garnier to a brutal assault using bladed weapons and a beam fragment, resulting in his death. The body was initially abandoned in the homeS bathroom. The following day, the suspects allegedly returned to the location intending to dismember the body, but were unsuccessful, leaving it on the ground floor of the property.
Evidence collected at the scene included beam fragments, machetes, two saws, a club, knives, and clothing. A phone and motorcycle were also seized.
The case has been referred to Prosecutor’s Office 35 of the Public Ministry for further proceedings.
