ZTE is reportedly competing with Motorola and Xiaomi to be the first to bring the new flagship Snapdragon chip with three new phones – a new leak says it wants to provide the new high-tech processor for ZTE’s three upcoming phones.
These will reportedly come from the company’s game-oriented Nubia series. The rumored Snapdragon 898 chip, the successor to the current 888 and 888+ processors, will actually be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
A Digital Chat Station tipster according to Motorola and Xiaomi are competing over which brand will release the first smartphone with the new Qualcomm chip under the hood. Motorola is said to want to launch a smartphone with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor before the end of 2021.
However, the leaker also claims that Lenovo-owned company will fail, as Xiaomi will overtake Motorola and first release a smartphone with the new chip. According to some sources the smartphone in question is the upcoming Xiaomi 12.
