Boston Weather Forecast: Sunshine & Mild Temps This Week

warm and Seasonable Weather Expected for Labor Day Weekend in Boston

Boston residents can look forward to a warm and pleasant Labor Day and the start of September,according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The holiday is expected to begin with sunshine and a mild high temperature in the upper 70s.

Throughout Monday,skies will gradually become cloudier,with an east wind diminishing to calm conditions in the evening. monday night will be mostly cloudy with a brisk low in the upper 50s, NWS reports.

The quiet weather pattern is forecast to persist into the work week.”Pretty much high pressure in control right through most of the week, at least Thursday,” explained NWS meteorologist Kevin Cadima.”We’ll see dry conditions, seasonable temperatures, with highs in the 70s generally speaking.”

tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are predicted to be sunny to mostly sunny, with highs potentially reaching 81 degrees. Skies will become partially cloudy Thursday night.

A change in the weather is anticipated late Thursday into friday. “Then we’ve got a frontal system moving through Thursday night and Friday, which will likely give us a period of showers,” Cadima stated.The chance of showers begins Thursday night, with rain likely on Friday, particularly during the late morning and into the afternoon. Friday’s high is expected to remain in the upper 70s, accompanied by a south wind potentially gusting up to 21 mph.Looking ahead, the weekend is preliminarily forecast to bring a return to seasonably warm and drier conditions, similar to the earlier part of the week, with highs potentially reaching the upper 70s to low 80s.

“We’ve got pretty much quiet weather for the most of the week, except for maybe some showers on Friday,” cadima concluded.
