Börse Express – New York Stocks: Wall Street picks up again, Nasdaq gives way again


After its small setback on Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial resumed the latest upward trend in the middle of the week. In the first half hour after the start of trading, the US benchmark index rose to just under 29,931 points and remained within reach of the never-before-reached, round mark of 30,000 points. Most recently, the Dow gained 0.29 percent to 29,868.90 points.

The market-wide S&P 500 quoted unchanged in percentage terms at 3609.65 points. As so often in the recent past, technology stocks were weaker, the Nasdaq 100
lost 0.42 percent to 11,926.71 points.

Investors’ attention is still focused on the fight against the corona virus. After completing the last analyzes when testing their vaccine, the Mainz-based manufacturer Biontech
