Amazon’s Blink Mini security camera is currently available for €14.99, a significant reduction from its original price of €34.99, according to Amazon’s French website. The compact camera offers features typically found in connected surveillance systems, including HD video recording, motion detection, and compatibility with Alexa-enabled devices.
While the Blink Mini 2 has recently been released, the original Blink Mini remains a viable option for budget-conscious consumers. The camera’s compact size – measuring 50 x 49 x 36 mm and weighing just 48 grams – allows for discreet placement within a home. Setup involves plugging in the device, connecting to Wi-Fi, and following instructions within the Blink Home Monitor application.
The Blink Mini records video in 1080p, and includes night vision capabilities. Users can customize motion detection zones to minimize false alarms. Two-way audio is supported through an integrated microphone and speaker. The camera can too be integrated with Alexa devices, enabling voice control.
Amazon offers a 30-day free trial of a Blink subscription, which provides cloud storage for recorded clips. Local storage is possible with the separate Blink Sync Module 2. Live video feeds and motion detection notifications are available without a subscription.
Recent promotions for Blink cameras have included a $10 Black Friday deal on the Blink indoor security camera, and a $35 bundle for two Blink Mini 2 cameras during a Prime Day event, according to reports. Gizmodo reported that the Blink Mini 2K+ security camera was offered at 50% off at the end of the year, marking its lowest price of the year. Blink also recently unveiled a new 2K camera lineup.
