Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Expands to West Virginia with New Affiliate

Summersville, WV – Real Estate Limited, a West Virginia brokerage serving the central part of the state, has affiliated with the Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate brand, the companies announced Wednesday. The firm will now operate as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kris & Co.

The affiliation marks a new chapter for Real Estate Limited, which has operated in West Virginia for over 35 years. Broker/Owner Kris Lilly purchased the firm in 2019 and has since focused on building a strong presence in Nicholas, Fayette, and Raleigh counties, specializing in residential, commercial, and land transactions. Lilly began her career in West Virginia real estate in 2004 as an agent and has held leadership positions within the Fayette-Nicholas Board of REALTORS® and the West Virginia Association of REALTORS® (WVAR).

According to Lilly, the decision to join Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate stemmed from a desire to enhance the firm’s services although maintaining its commitment to client relationships. “Real estate has never just been my career – it’s been my passion,” Lilly said in a statement. “I truly take pride in helping clients, family, and friends find their dream homes and take the next step in their lives. For that reason, my mission was to build a company that values the human aspect of the business as much as I do. When I looked for a brand that could help us elevate our firm without sacrificing that identity, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate immediately jumped out.”

The move comes as Summersville Lake State Park continues to attract new residents to the area, increasing demand for real estate services. Lilly noted that the support of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate network will allow her to mentor new agents and provide more personalized assistance to existing ones.

Ginger Wilcox, President of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC, highlighted the strategic importance of the affiliation. “Kris and her affiliated agents have done a fantastic job at carving out their own niche and expertly serving their region of West Virginia,” Wilcox stated. “As more and more people move into the state to discover its natural beauty and unique ways of living, we want to further support companies continuing to serve this new influx of residents. We’re incredibly proud to be the brand that helps move Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kris & Co. Into the future, and we’re even more proud to further cement this brokerage as the go-to resource for new residents seeking help finding their dream homes in West Virginia.”

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC is a subsidiary of Compass International Holdings. The Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate network currently includes approximately 11,000 independent sales associates in around 400 offices across the United States, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Australia, and Türkiye.
