Beyond ending military support, protesters demanded unrestricted access for humanitarian aid to Gaza and urged the European Union to impose sanctions on Israel.
Ines schwerdtner, chairwoman of the Left Party, addressed the crowd, echoing the accusations of genocide and criticizing the German government’s stance.
the large turnout underscores the important public pressure building on the German government to reassess its relationship with Israel and take a more critical stance on the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The demonstration highlights a growing divide within Germany regarding its historical duty and current foreign policy in relation to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
