Chinese Players Dominate Semifinals, Secure Spots in ‍Three french Open Finals

PARIS, Oct. 26 – Chinese badminton players ⁤delivered ⁣strong ⁢performances ⁢in the French Open semifinals on Saturday, advancing to Sunday’s finals ⁤in women’s singles, women’s doubles, and ‌mixed doubles.

In a thrilling women’s singles match, Chen Yufei battled world⁢ No. 1​ An⁢ Se-young of South Korea for 87 minutes, ⁢ultimately falling short with a score ​of 23-21, 18-21, 21-16.⁢ Compatriot Wang ⁣Zhiyi ensured at least one Chinese presence in the final, defeating Han Yue 21-14,⁢ 20-22, 21-14 in the‌ other semifinal.

The women’s doubles ⁤saw ⁢an all-Chinese semifinal clash, with Li Yijing and Luo Xumin ⁣emerging victorious​ over Olympic champions Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan, 21-16, 21-17. Li and ‍luo ⁤will compete against Japanese‌ duo Yuki ⁣Fukushima and Mayu Matsumoto for the​ title.

Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping secured ‌a final berth in mixed doubles, overcoming⁣ Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet of Hong ‌Kong, China, 20-22, 21-17, 21-16. They are set to ‌face⁢ Thai pair Dechapol puavaranukroh ​and Supissara Paewsampran.

While facing setbacks in men’s ‍singles, Li Shifeng won ‌the first game against Denmark’s Anders Antonsen 21-15, before Antonsen rallied to win 21-19,⁣ 21-13. Home favorite Christo Popov ‍also advanced to ​the men’s‍ singles final, defeating Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn. The⁤ men’s doubles final will feature South Korea’s Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae⁣ against Indonesia’s Fajar​ Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.

All five finals ⁣are⁤ scheduled to take ⁣place on Sunday.
