In a marathon encounter on Court 3,Roman Safiullin emerged victorious against French qualifier Ugo Blanchet in a grueling 4-6,6-2,7-6(9) match. Safiullin saved three match points in a dramatic third-set tiebreak before converting his fourth prospect to advance.
The tournament continues with several high-profile matches, including Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia facing France’s Quentin Halys. The qualifying rounds also saw notable results, with Belgium’s Alexander Blockx defeating Croatia’s Duje Ajdukovic 6-4, 6-4, and Australia’s Tristan Schoolkate dominating USA’s Govind Nanda 6-3, 6-0.
